The former Women’s Reproductive Justice Committee announces the change in its name to Women’s Health and Reproductive Justice. The change is the result of increased awareness that issues related to women’s health are intimately connected to reproductive justice. Our focus extends from infant mortality and sex education to sexual violence, abortion rights/access and beyond. We have a dynamic group of women who are really engaged in the work we do and we are busier than ever! If you would like to join this committee, please contact either Laura Kuntz at firstname.lastname@example.org or Erin Oakley at email@example.com.

WORK FOR WOMEN’S HEALTH AND REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE
The Women’s Health and Reproductive Justice Committee recently hosted a day-long reproductive justice training that gave us new tools to use in our advocacy work. This coming year, in addition to our work on keeping abortion safe and legal, we are focusing on the following:
- Sex education in Ohio schools
- Starting an NCJW escort group at Preterm
- Continuing our advocacy for reducing infant and maternal mortality
- Creating a community service project that serves victims of sexual assault through local SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) nursing programs.
If you are interested in one or more of these issues, we welcome you! Contact Laura Kuntz at firstname.lastname@example.org or Erin Oakley at email@example.com.Please Join Us At an NCJW/Cleveland Sponsored Event
