For 118 years, NCJW/Cleveland has provided direct service to women, children, and families in need. With a pioneering spirit, our efforts helped to establish Mount Sinai Hospital, Council Gardens, the Bellefaire Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, and the establishment of other major philanthropic projects in the northeast Ohio area.
Today, our volunteers are entrenched in the community – assisting women, inspiring children and engaging at-risk teens. We are in schools, libraries, courthouses, and neighborhood centers, assisting with everything from literacy to educational activities. For those looking to give back, NCJW/Cleveland offers weekly, monthly, and shorter “done in a day” volunteer opportunities that fit everyone’s needs and schedules. Our focus, always, is supporting women, children, and families as we strengthen our community.
