Participate in “ACTS OF KINDNESS” with the committee, performing monthly, kind-hearted activities for women, children and families whose lives we touch.
We have already made an impact by doing: an Appreciation Lunch for NCJW/CLE Staff; baking desserts and volunteering with activities and distributing books at the Community of Hope picnic; and creating 25 camp bags (filled with journals, pens and stickers) for foster care kids with Fostering Hope.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE IN AUGUST
- Making Blankets: We will partner with Reproductive Rights and Health Committee to create blankets for the TLC Project
- Book Collection (through August 9 only): We will collect books for adults for Council Gardens – classics, newer travel books, newer cookbooks, poetry books, newer non-fiction. Books can be gently used, and hardcover books are preferred.
- Lunch for Firefighters: An appreciation lunch for Firefighters in Bedford Heights (which is the city where our Thriftique is located)
More events to come each month!
