ALL ABOUT FOOD ALLERGIES: WHY EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE INFORMED!
Featuring The Allison Rose Foundation
REGISTRATION LINK: http://www.wizevents.com/register/register_begin.php?id=7230
Food allergies affect everyone – peers, parents, grandparents. Notice more nut-free signs? Restaurant servers asking if anyone at the table has an allergy? Not being able to send cupcakes to school for your child on his/her birthday? Allergies are everywhere – 1 in 13 children and 1 in 10 adults have an allergy, which can result in severe – and even fatal – reactions. It’s crucial for everyone (those with and without food allergies) to be educated and aware. NCJW/CLE is teaming up with The Allison Rose Foundation (ARF) – a nonprofit committed to changing the lives of food allergy families through education, awareness, research and advocacy. ARF has developed a physician driven, evidence-based food allergy curriculum that educates everyone. A team of trained firefighters and paramedics will offer an engaging, impactful and life-saving lesson to all.
