SUMMARY:REPRO RIGHTS PROGRAM WITH PLANNED PARENTHOOD
DESCRIPTION:The Cost of Defunding: How Policy Decisions Affect Access to Women’s Health Care \nDate: Wednesday\, May 6\nTime: 7:00–8:30 PM\nLocation: Orange Library \nAttacks on reproductive health care continue in Ohio\, despite voters decisively passing the Reproductive Freedom Amendment in 2023. In the past year\, state and federal lawmakers have continued efforts to “defund” Planned Parenthood and introduced legislation that further restricts access to care\, widening existing gaps and placing added strain on communities already facing significant barriers. \nIn partnership with the National Council of Jewish Women\, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio’s Executive Director\, Lauren Blauvelt\, and Assistant Vice President of Advocacy and Data\, Marion Clarke\, will discuss the current threats to health care and the direct impacts these policies have on patients’ ability to get the care they need.
