Today, NCJW had the honor of memorializing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg by taking a ritual walk around the Supreme Court. Dozens of our partners, advocates, and friends joined us to symbolically mark the end of the shiva (mourning) period together. We heard remarks from our CEO, Sheila Katz, Yolanda Savage-Narva, Executive Director of Operation Understanding DC, Rabbi Aderet Drucker of the Den Collective who lead us in the Mourner’s Kaddish, and Board President Dana Gershon who read Kaddish by Margey Peirce.
On such a beautiful Fall day, NCJW is grateful and proud to be able to remember Justice Ginsburg as a shining light of our democracy. May her memory be for a blessing and revolution.
