Program and Education
NCJW/CLE keeps its fingers on the pulse of what’s interesting and important in the community. Our members are involved with planning and providing access to high-profile topical speakers and community events. We’ve brought in an Olympian, award-winning journalists and comedians to entertain and educate members. In this unprecedented time we continue to offer timely and informative on-going programs and individual programs on a wide variety of topics through technology.

Ongoing programs:
Art Series: Members tour the Cleveland Museum of Art with trained facilitators and listen to local experts talk about featured artists.
Book Club: Monthly discussions facilitated by a rotation of group participants. The group reads mostly works of fiction exploring a wide variety of subject matter and styles.
Some Things Newish About Being Jewish: Cheryl Gordon, MAT-MSJS, an enthusiastic Jewish educator, returns to facilitate a great series of interesting and compelling topics, over Zoom.
Women’s Health Series: Dive into a healthier you featuring physicians and experts. Some past topics include “What Women Need to Know for a Healthy 2019” and “Time to Tune up Your Sex Drive.”
NCJW/CLE Major Meetings: At this time all major meetings are being held as “Zoom-a-brations.
Opening Meeting: Kickoff luncheon event featuring well-known celebrity or influencer.
The Lois Zaas Annual Memorial Advocacy Lecture: Features experts on timely news topics such as bullying, women’s reproductive rights and other issues-driven topics.
Winter Meeting: Luncheon, featuring a speaker and topic of interest for a special event including presentation of the Emerging Leader Award(s).
Annual Meeting: The year’s closing meeting, highlighting events and accomplishments from the past and installation of new officers and board members.
